Templar Cross

The cross of the monastic/military order known as the Poor Fellow-Soldiers of Christ and of the Temple of Solomon, more commonly as the Knights Templar.

The Knights Templar were the largest and most powerful of the Medieval crusading orders. Some believe they possessed esoteric knowledge and practiced a mystic version of Christianity. They were originally known as The Poor Knights of Christ and the Temple of Solomon.

Some historians and authors believe there is a link from the Knights Templar to Freemasonry, with some Masonic organizations claiming a direct descent from them.
