The fox is a symbol with many qualities: Quick mental and physical responses, magic and cunning, the ability to camouflage one's intentions and blend in with surroundings, the ability to move through dimensions, and the creation of worlds within oneself.
Foxes are associated with protection, adaptability, keen intelligence, good survival instincts, and deception. They are clever, crafty, and cunning. In Far Eastern mythologies, the spirit of a fox is akin to European faeries and demons and can be either good or bad. Fox spirits are encountered in Chinese and Japanese tales and legends as dangerous female seductresses and in love stories as young, beautiful women.
