U.S. Coast Guard
U.S. Coast Guard
The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is a branch of the United States Armed Forces responsible for maritime security, search and rescue, and law enforcement. It is one of the country's eight uniformed services and has a unique role among the US military branches. The Coast Guard is responsible for maritime law enforcement in both domestic and international waters, as well as federal regulatory agency duties. It is the largest coast guard in the world and rivals the capabilities and size of most navies.
