Jester Earrings

In Heraldic times, it was the job of the Court Jester to keep the King amused, in good humor, and with perspective: in essence, in balance.

The Wise Clown is found in all cultures, from England to Africa to Japan, and in nearly all mythological pantheons. Among indigenous people, Clowns, Contraries, and Heyokas are always in attendance at rituals, ceremonies, and at serious endeavors not unlike court functions, reminding the people not to take themselves too seriously.
