The piece
About this piece
Triskellion designs are found throughout Celtic art, mythology, and sacred symbolism. They are identified with the sacred number three, a trinity that represents the Goddess as Mother, Maiden, and Crone, later becoming the Christian Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost or Spirit. It is also associated with the eternal circle of time and life’s transformation from birth to life, and then to death, followed by rebirth.
